【摘要】:Thisisaqualitycontroltestperformedatthemanufacturingplanttoestablishthatthefinished,shippablepipemeetstheleakagelimitsstatedinthespecifications.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfortestingofprecastconcretepipesections,priortodelivery,wheremaximumfieldleakageratesarespecified.1.2Testsdescribedinthisstandardareintendedtobeusedatthepointofmanufactureoftheconcretepipeandarenotintendedfortestinginstalledpipe(forfieldtestsseePracticesC924,C969,andC1214).Theuserofthisspecificationisadvisedthatindividualormultiplepipesectionsmaybetestedforthepurposeoftestingthepipebarrelandadditionallythejointsinstraightalignmentwhenmultiplepipesectionsaretested.1.3Thetwoleakageratesshown,whichwereusedincalculatingthetesttimes,werechosenbasedontwogenerallyacceptedfieldairandvacuumtestcriteria.Testtimesarebasedonleakageratesandthereforeareproportionalonlytothepipediameterandareconstantforanylengthoftestpipeorpipeline.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Note18212;Theavailabilityofthistestprocedureforconcretepipevariesfromlocationtolocation.Checkwithlocalsupplier(s)foravailabilityandrecommendations.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishtheappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortoitsuse.SeeSection6forspecificsafetyprecautions.
